The Cybersecurity Training Lab will help you to develop and build up these skills by offering training sessions tailored to your individual needs. These will be adapted to the specific requirements of your organization and your employees’ current level of knowledge.

At numerous sites across Germany, you can use our modern learning laboratories to reconstruct and simulate real threat scenarios with the help of a high-quality technical infrastructure. Specific use cases will help to make what you have learned tangible and put it directly into practice.

Courses on current findings in research, supplemented by effective practical tips, help to adapt science for use in industry.

Individual workshop on Java Security training; result: annual Security Champion Training

The customer initially inquired about offering Java Security training to all of the group’s developers. At one of our workshops, expert moderators worked with the client to analyze the initial situation, and the findings were then used to derive recommended actions. They then focused on the Security Champion Training, a 13-week part-time program totaling 130 hours of work for each participant (incl. large practical components), which includes examples and tasks that continually refer back to the client’s domains and products. The training was a great success and has been repeated every year since.

Company specific training for energy and water supply: safeguarding critical infrastructure

The Cybersecurity Training Lab offers customized technical intensive training programs for energy and water supply companies. The target groups are participants from the control and remote control technology sectors, management and instructors. Vattenfall has been making use of our offering since 2019. A three-day course was developed especially for the company, covering threats and defense strategies pertaining to process IT infrastructures. The high proportion of practical content ensures that participants get a compact but thorough insight. The tasks take place via a mobile training platform, which means that participants can put what they have learned into practice and use it in their work.

These continuing education programs can be booked as pre-made in-house seminars. Alternatively, you can choose from standalone components that can be combined and adapted.

  • International Data Spaces component certification

    International Data Spaces component certification: evaluate benefits and risks of IDS certification, understand component certification at a technical level, assess whether proprietary products can be certified, realistically assess the costs for the proprietary product.

     

    Target group: for manufacturers of IDS core components, as well as technicians, de-velopers and product owners

  • How secure is your IoT product?

    The workshop is focused specifically on the company, allowing them to discuss a spe-cific or planned product, concept or service with a customized selection of IT security experts from all of the relevant technology sectors to get the views of external ex-perts. You will immediately receive recommendations to put into practice.

     

    Target group: Managerial staff, specialist staff and dedicated specialists

    IoT security — secure networks and reliable protocols

    With the help of this seminar, you can take the necessary precautions to avoid specific attacks on long-range wireless communications, select the correct protocols and con-trol their security aspects.

  • Modern, secure software development

    Successful and secure web applications, apps, platforms and the cloud make exacting technical and organizational demands on the software development process. Companies and organizations need to adequately face these challenges, and our selection of seminars will provide an important contribution to the process.

  • Selection of seminars on the foundations of security testing

    The “foundations of security testing” seminar series conveys the general basics of security testing, how they can be embedded in security testing processes and the software lifecycle. They primarily show how safety testing can be optimized by incorporating it in consistent risk management.

    As part of the series of seminars, select security testing methods and technologies are illustrated with the help of practical examples. The participants are given the opportunity to try out testing methods and security mechanisms themselves and experience them in practice. As a result, characteristic weak points are exploited and methods are taught to identify and close off these issues.

    Target group: product managers, project managers in product development, product developers, requirements developers, test developers, test analysts, test managers, acceptance testers, and quality managers and advisors

    Duration: up to 32 hours

  • Blockchain technology

    To understand whether blockchain technology would make sense for your company, it is important that you understand how they work and the foundations of the technology first. In our seminar, you will get a quick introduction to the topic. You can then use our seminar as a way to assess the range of application for blockchain and understand how the technology works. After that, you have the opportunity to implement what you have learned through practical exercises on hashing, signatures and proof-of-work.

    Duration: one day, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
